Most New Yorkers begrudgingly accompany visiting relatives to tourist spots, except for the Staten Island Ferry. For a $2 Metrocard swipe, you get a nice cruise against the southern city skyline, whisking by the Statue of Liberty and getting as close to fresh air as we can get from the city.
Best part? Bud Light tallboys for $3 a pop, bringing your grand total to $5 a person (in my case, it’d be more like $15+, but still, it’s the only thing cheaper than an industry party). Cuddle up on the deck, secretly (SECRETLY) pretend you’re in a romantic comedy and don’t forget to hop right back on the ferry when it turns around from SI….
